Author Bio: Tessa Jenkins has been practicing yoga for 15 years. An avid athlete, Tessa started practicing yoga to prevent injury from endurance sports and to learn how to use her breath. She loved yoga so much that she decided to get her 500 hour yoga instructor certification from Power Yoga Works in 2015. Before yoga, Tessa was an ICU nurse, helping people overcome sickness and injury. She decided to stay in the health field, but instead of working in the hospital, she tries to help prevent injury and illness by teaching yoga and living "the healthiest life with an active lifestyle and eating." Tessa was recently featured in Philadelphia Magazine where she was interviewed about yoga in the time of COVID. She has also been featured in national publications, including Popsugar.
