Game on, team. Doing yoga at home 🧘♀️has got some serious advantages!
Yes, doing yoga at home can really have a positive impact on your health and well being!!!
We’re not exactly impartial, of course, but we happen to think that we offer the best online yoga classes in the game.
Like doing yoga in-person, online yoga in the comfort of your own home will get your body moving and your heart pumping. Honestly, you might sweat a lot — but there are plenty of other benefits to doing yoga at home!
Obviously, you want to get a great yoga workout…
But we’re all only human (except for any actual bulldogs in the pack). And, it’s totally cool if there are other factors that influence the way you choose to exercise…. and where you choose to do it.
In 2019, Eventbrite & OnePoll surveyed 2,000 Americans and asked them about their yoga habits and the main reasons why they do yoga at home.
I don’t know about you but I can relate to all of these reasons at one time or another.
So, we’re pretty sure that these 8 factors will help seal the deal and get you to try yoga at home (especially our unique style of power yoga!)…
1) You can do it on your own time.
Gone are the days of being fully dependent on a studio’s class schedule. With online yoga classes, you can quite literally get on the mat at any time of the day or night. With many platforms offering access to their online yoga classes via a yoga app, it’s crazy easy!
This is especially helpful for parents, professionals, and just people in general who have less predictable routines.
Make Yoga Online Work for YOU!
Not sure what time you’re going to get home from the office? Unclear on when your kids are going to give you the space you need for self-care? Trying to fill that awkward period of time late at night when you’re having trouble falling asleep?
Online yoga can be a great way to get your movement in. Sometimes it’s just about finding better ways to prioritize your workout.
2) There’s no pressure to feel like a yoga pro.
Try to keep things pretty relaxed — Cue the next Top Petty song on your playlist.
If you’re new to yoga, no amount of chill vibes can make those first few classes any less intimidating, especially if you’re on the more reserved side.
Online yoga classes are great for beginner yoga. Take all of that pressure away. Stop thinking about how you look in each pose or whether or not you’re flowing as quickly as the class leader – a great slow flow yoga session may be just your thing! Focus instead on having fun and getting the best yoga workout possible.
3) You can get friends and family (and pets) involved.
Getting fit can feel a little lonely, but when you’re doing it on your own terms, you can make it social!
Stream an online yoga class on the biggest screen in your house — or on your yoga app – and ask your partner or kids to give yoga a shot. If you have pals that enjoy yoga, invite them over to try yoga at home with you, too!
Why not just throw on the best core exercises for women and make it a yoga party? (With snacks, of course.) And if your pets wander their way onto your mat mid-class, then the more, the merrier.
4) You’ll have fewer excuses not to do it.
Almost all of your outs become irrelevant when you start bringing yoga to your home base. There’s no traffic to make you late for class, no icky weather conditions to tempt you to ditch your workout plan.
If you are constantly making excuses that keep you from movin’ your body, maybe it’s time you meet yourself right where you are with online yoga.
5) You can get comfy as soon as you’re finished.
You know that feeling when you finish an intense workout and all you want to do is rinse off, throw on a pair of sweats, and eat something delicious?
Yup, we’re very familiar.
You can do all of those things ASAP when you exercise in the comfort of your own home.
There’s no crime in loving your PJs. Are you a snuggie or slanket kind of person?
6) You won’t waste the travel time.
We’re pretty sure that we’ve never met a person who felt like they had enough hours in the day to accomplish all of the things on their priority list.
And if you happen to be a person who already spends a lot of those precious hours commuting to and from an office or other commitments, you should know.
The Texas A&M Transportation Institute conducted a study and found that commuters waste an average of 54 hours a year stalled in traffic.
We understand that logging more time in the car in order to get to a yoga class can often be the reason you opt out of getting active.
Practicing yoga at home means that you get all of the benefits out of your exercise time without adding more travel time to your already packed schedule. A yoga workout on your terms – win, win!!!
7) You can practice in your happiest place.
Change up the way you feel about working out by doing it in a place that always makes you smile.
Set up your yoga mat and a computer, phone, or tablet in whatever room at home you love the most.
If your happiest place is your backyard or deck, that’s even better!
8) You’ll feel confident during and after the workout.
Own your yoga at home sweat sesh by bringing it home.
Whether you’ve been doing yoga online (or in-studio) for years, or just beginning with slow flow yoga or prenatal yoga, there’s no comfort zone like working out where you want to.
You’ll feel confident and positive about your yoga workout… and we’re willing to bet that those good vibes will put you on the fast track to getting stronger and more fit.
It’s Time to Prioritize Your Online Yoga Workout — And doing Yoga at Home makes it sooooo easy!
